MILLSTEIN & ASSOCIATES P.C. obtained a defense award after trial on behalf of its client the Academy of Art in a Class Action suit requesting $60 million in damages.
The class consisted of former students of the Academy of Art who resided in its dormitories. The plaintiffs claimed the students were tenants under the San Francisco Tenant Ordinance and were entitled to fines and penalties. The case was dismissed by the Court after the plaintiff presented their case in chief on bifurcated issues.
